Maker Profile: Stitching Me Softly
Whilst we're closed, we want to do all we can to support the amazing community of makers and small businesses who we are lucky enough to work with, we will be sharing work on our social media and blogs, introducing you to some of the makers we stock.
Today we get to shout about Stitching Me Softly, run by Emma Bassey in Bristol.
We stock a range of woven necklaces and craft kits from Stitching Me Softly, but while we are closed you can still purchase direct from Emma on her website: https://stitchingmesoftly.co.uk/
Emma has lots of different styles available- woven and crochet necklaces, friendship bracelets, crochet plant pots... plenty of colours to choose from so something for everyone!
"I have always been creative and taught myself to crochet 8 years ago whilst pregnant with my second daughter.
I then spent some time developing my skills before launching Stitching Me Softly in 2017, just after the birth of my third daughter.I began designing baby and children’s items as I wanted something specific for my own children that I couldn’t find on the high street.
I am drawn to simple geometric shapes and contrasting colour pallets, and this theme is reflected in my crochet designs.I really enjoy designing new products which inspire the creativity in other people. This has led to designing a range of craft kits and running workshops around the UK."
